API Terms of Use

1. Introduction

These API Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the SegFlow AI Estimator API (the "API") provided by SegFlow AI LLC. The API enables you to submit property data and receive AI-generated cost segregation estimates. By using the API, you agree to these terms.

2. API Access

The SegFlow AI Estimator API is currently accessible via HTTP POST to https://segflowai.com/api/estimate. No API key is required for standard access. Authentication requirements may be introduced in future versions with reasonable advance notice.

You agree to use the API only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for all requests made from your application or systems.

3. Rate Limits

API requests are subject to rate limits to ensure fair access and platform stability. Current limits are 60 requests per minute per IP address. Requests exceeding this limit will receive an HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Please implement appropriate retry logic with exponential backoff in your integration.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the API to:

• Embed the cost segregation estimator on your website or application
• Programmatically generate preliminary cost segregation estimates for client properties
• Build internal tools that use SegFlow AI's estimation capabilities

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use the API to:

• Build a competing product or service that replicates SegFlow AI's core functionality
• Scrape or bulk-harvest data for purposes unrelated to your authorized use
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits or security controls
• Transmit malicious code or exploit vulnerabilities in the API
• Degrade performance or availability for other users
• Present API-generated outputs as a certified cost segregation study without independent professional verification and disclosure

6. Attribution

If you display API-generated estimates to end users, you must include visible attribution stating "Powered by SegFlow AI" or display the SegFlow AI logo. Attribution requirements may be waived under enterprise agreements — contact us for details.

7. Output Disclaimer

All data returned by the API is AI-generated and constitutes an estimate for informational purposes only. API outputs are not certified cost segregation studies and must not be presented as such. See our Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability for full terms governing AI-generated outputs.

8. Data Handling

Property data submitted through the API is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any data sent to the API, including obtaining necessary consents from property owners or other data subjects.

9. Availability

We target commercially reasonable uptime for the API but do not guarantee specific availability. The API may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We will endeavor to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights in the API, including its design, endpoints, and underlying technology, remain the exclusive property of SegFlow AI LLC. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the API in accordance with these terms. No ownership rights are transferred.

11. Termination

We may suspend your API access immediately if you violate these terms, your usage poses a security risk, or your use threatens platform stability. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the API.

12. Limitation of Liability

SEGFLOW AI LLC'S LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM API USE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE API, INCLUDING DAMAGES FROM API DOWNTIME OR INACCURACIES IN API OUTPUTS.

13. Modifications

We may update these API Terms with at least 30 days' notice for material changes. Continued use of the API after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
